As I look further into this you see Laffey has a 5.40 ERA and that's probably why he opens up as a dog at +117. However his 2.12 ERA at night with a 5-2 record is very impressive and this being the first time Baltimore will see the Lefty I am confident going with his experience over Hernandez's who has never pitched against the Indians. Laffey will face Cleveland who are hitting .264 vs. LHP and scoring just 3.86 runs per 9 in their last 10. O's will be without one of their best players today in Adam Jones. They are 2-5 in their last 7 at home vs. a LH starter and they are also 1-7 following a win and 2-8 in their last 10 at home.
Hernandez will have to face Cleveland who is hitting .296 vs. RHP and scoring 5.56 r/9 in their last 10 games. Hernandez has gone 6 innings just once in his last 5 starts where he has rung up 17 ER in 23.1 IP giving up a whopping total of 44 base runners 30 coming from hits and 14 from BB's. Cleveland a very good team reaching the base via the walk actually they are ranked #7 and they are #8 in average. This means that I see Hernandez taking an early exit here which leads to Baltimore's bullpen that has a 5.09 ERA in their last 3 outings. Take the Indians!
